Text 25 Oct 1 note Joseph Orsi: bergamont station

The artwork at the display was inspired by competitive athletes . This Michael Jordan painting in particular, by artist Stanley Silver, correlates to the artist feelings towards his work. For example, Michael Jordan is an iconic figure and great predecessor of his ti me and more time to come. In relation, Mr. Silvers technique is traced through his abstract styles and the use of contemporary water color is intriguing and historically prominent. I think the artist made the choice of this style of development from his personal love of competitive athleticism.
You would think the painting of Michael Jordan would be on a portrait placement but instead it was on a landscape placement. I enjoyed that because Jordan is usual in portrait placed paintings/posters and I understand the way he wanted others to see it. What is interesting is that it made me reflect on my purpose in life without focusing on my everyday frequent disruptions of chaos. All of the colors were warming and vibrant, the use of contrast made the content not boring and too in depth but more personal and happy. So Overall, I enjoyed the Burgamont Station gallery and Stanley Silver’s Breath & Shadow exhibit.
